Texas holdem is a card poker game which is played with a typical 52 card deck. This card game is very popular all over the world. Texas holdem poker can be played with as little as two players, up to maximum of eleven players. It is quite simple to learn the texas holdem rules. Preflop – Texas holdem game uses a disc called a dealer button to indicate where the cards are o be dealt. Starting with the dealer button, each person is dealt one card and then the second card. Both cards are face down. After everyone receives their pocket/hole cards (the two cards face down just dealt), then betting occurs.

Flop - The dealer turns over three cards in the middle of the table. These are community cards that each player can use to create the best hand possible out of. Another betting round takes place beginning with the player to the left of the dealer button.

Turn – Following the texas holdem rules, the dealer of the holdem game turns over another card which makes a fourth community cards and this card is referred to as "the turn" or sometimes called as “fourth street". Here, another round of betting occurs again.

River - Moving ahead with the texas hold’em rules, the dealer turns over the fifth and last community card and this is called "the river" or "fifth street". Betting occurs for the last time.

Showdown - A showdown occurs when a player is called after the river. The remaining players in the hand show their cards in order from the person who bet first and the winning texas holdem poker hand will be awarded the pot. Any combination of hole cards and community cards may be used to make the best five-card poker hand.
